Postdoc position (Fall 2018) – University of Copenhagen

30 October 2017

Postdoc position (Fall 2018)

Postdoc position in the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology group at NBI (starting Fall 2018).

The Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology group ( at the Niels Bohr Institute ( has an opening for two-year postdoc positions starting the Fall of 2018.  The position is funded by the DFF project  “Towards a deeper understanding of black holes with non-relativistic holography” directed by Niels Obers and Troels Harmark.

Applicants are expected to have an excellent knowledge and strong research background in modern developments in gravity, field theory, holography and string theory. It is an advantage if the applicant has some interest in and experience with the AdS/CFT correspondence, non-AdS holography and black holes.

While the position is for two years, it is envisioned that funding for a 3rd year will be actively pursued (together with the chosen candidate) by applying for other sources.

To be considered for the position, please submit the requested application material to the joint postdoc applications related to theories on the unification of fundamental interactions (see the link and note the deadline at 12.00 pm on November 30, 2017
