Title: 4D Ambitwistor String Theory and the Scattering Equations

Abstract: The 4D scattering equations give a general framework for computation of tree-level superamplitudes in a variety of different theories. Amplitudes in different theories have an associated integrand which is integrated against delta functions enforcing the scattering equations. I will discuss the derivation of this framework from 4D ambitwistor string theory, and give integrands for super Yang-Mills, Einstein supergravity and N=4 conformal supergravity. Performing the integrals in most cases requires numerical solutions to the equations and I will explain how this can be done via Monte-Carlo algorithm.
